What is License-one?
License-one is a simple and less bureaucratic license that gives the licensee more control and freedom, so how it works: Simple, you buy once & you can use it however you want.
Why License-one?
I have huge respect for people who build cc0 or open-source projects, I think that’s pure passion to just build and give it away for free and contribute to this world without incentivizing yourself. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t charge for your creations, you should there’s nothing wrong with it but when you are doing it you should try to give the user or licensee maximum control, I mean when there are such great people in this world who can build such great stuff for free can’t we do this much at least? And in no way I’m criticizing the standard ways, it’s just me trying to live up to the principle: “Build stuff you would use”.
What you are allowed to do
Usage: As mentioned earlier you can use the product however you want.
Sharing and commercial: You can freely share your work created using the product. You are also allowed to do commercial activities like selling the stuff which you created using the product. *Note this applies to the stuff you create using the product and not the product itself.
Modifications: You are allowed to modify or customize the product as per your work or creative requirements.
What you are not allowed to do
Reselling and sharing: You are not allowed to resell or share the complete or modified version of the product.
