AEXTRACT 36 is a font which comes out of my 36 Days of Type 08 challenge. The thing is my challenge was to design all the 36 characters strictly from one grid which is a grid made up of lines & diagonals no exceptions to any characters. And the challenge got so much love that I decided to make a font of it and release it for free. In case you are wondering yes this font doesn't have more than 36 characters: Upper case and numbers only, and no punctuations or symbols.
This grid was also the main idea behind my first font Aextract which I started working on before the challenge, so yeah you could say Aextract was the main origin, but Aextract wasn't created with such tight geometric constraints like AEXTRACT 36 and it does have optical balance and kerning.
